Our commitment: gambling is entertainment, not income
Gambling is a form of entertainment. It is not a way to earn money, to recover earlier losses or to deal with debt. Every game we offer is built with a house edge, which means that over time the outcome favours the operator, and no system, pattern or staking plan changes that. Most of our customers play for fun, within a budget they can afford to lose, and stop when the money set aside for that session has gone. Our aim is to help play stay that way.
Before you deposit, decide how much you are prepared to lose and how long you want to play for. Treat the figure as the cost of an evening's entertainment, in the same way as a cinema ticket or a meal out. Decide the amount before you play, whether that is £20 or £500, and set it in your account as a deposit limit so the decision is made while you are calm rather than mid-session.
- Only gamble with money you can afford to lose, never with money needed for rent, bills, food or repayments.
- Never borrow money to gamble, and do not use credit intended for other purposes.
- Set a budget and a time limit before you start, and keep to both.
- Do not try to win back what you have lost by increasing your stakes or deposits.
- Avoid playing when you are upset, bored, stressed or under the influence of alcohol.
- Take regular breaks, and balance play with other activities you enjoy.
- Keep track of what you have spent by looking at the account history we provide.
Strictly 18+
Gambling with us is open only to customers aged 18 or over. We hold a gaming licence and verify the age and identity of every account holder before play and withdrawals are permitted.
The safer gambling tools in your account
Every account includes a set of controls you can switch on yourself, free of charge, without needing to give a reason. The tools work on the amounts and intervals you choose, and we apply them to your account across the games and devices you use.
| Tool | What it does | When it takes effect |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit limit | Caps the amount you can pay in over a day, a week or a month. | A new or lower limit applies straight away; an increase only after the cooling-off period shown in your account. |
| Loss limit | Caps the net amount you can lose over the period you select. | Straight away when set or reduced. |
| Session limit | Ends play once you have been signed in for the length of time you set. | From your next session onwards. |
| Reality check | Displays an on-screen reminder at the interval you choose, showing time played and your position. | As soon as you save the setting. |
| Time-out | Blocks play for a short, fixed break while your account otherwise stays open. | Immediately, and it cannot be lifted early. |
| Self-exclusion | Closes your account to gambling for a longer minimum period. | Immediately, and it cannot be cancelled during the period you choose. |
How to switch a tool on
- Sign in and open the safer gambling area of your account.
- Choose the tool you want and the period it should cover.
- Enter the amount, time or interval that suits you and save the change.
- Double-check the confirmation shown on screen and in the e-mail we send you.
- If you cannot find a setting, ask our live chat or e-mail support@casinoluckyadmiral.co.uk and we will apply it to your account for you.
Time-outs and self-exclusion
A time-out suits a short break of a few days or weeks. Self-exclusion is for customers who want a firm stop: we close the account to gambling for the minimum period you select, cancel marketing to you, and we will not accept further deposits or wagers until that period has run its course. At the end of a self-exclusion, the account does not simply reopen. You must contact us, confirm you want to return, and allow the cooling-off time set out in our terms before play is possible again. Any balance you hold at the time of a self-exclusion is returned to you using the methods shown in the cashier.
Blocking deposits at source
Many UK banks and payment providers let you block gambling transactions from your account or card. Used alongside self-exclusion, that block makes it much harder to act on a sudden urge to play.
Signs that gambling may be becoming a problem
Difficulties with gambling usually build up gradually. Going through the checklist below honestly is a useful first step. If several points sound familiar, we would encourage you to set a limit, take a time-out or speak to one of the organisations listed in the next section.
- You gamble for longer or spend more than you intended to.
- You chase losses, staking more in the hope of getting back to where you started.
- You gamble with money meant for bills, rent, food or repayments.
- You borrow money, sell belongings or use credit in order to gamble.
- You hide how much you play or spend from family, friends or colleagues.
- You feel restless, anxious or irritable when you try to cut down or stop.
- You gamble to escape stress, loneliness, boredom or low mood.
- Gambling is affecting your work, studies, sleep, health or relationships.
- You have tried to stop before and found that you could not.
- Someone close to you has raised concerns about your gambling.
Our support team can apply limits, a time-out or a self-exclusion to your account during a single conversation. You do not need to explain yourself, and the request will be handled discreetly.
Where to get help and advice
Free, confidential help is available across the UK, whether you are worried about your own gambling or about someone else's. These organisations are not connected to us and can offer advice, treatment and blocking schemes.
- GambleAware provides information, advice and a route into free treatment across England, Scotland and Wales, including guidance for the families and friends of people who gamble.
- GamCare offers free counselling, group sessions and structured treatment for anyone affected by gambling harm, delivered by trained advisers and partner services.
- GamStop is the free national self-exclusion scheme that, once you register, blocks your access to online gambling sites licensed in Great Britain for the period you choose.
- The National Gambling Helpline is a free, confidential service staffed by trained advisers who can talk things through with you at any hour and refer you to local support.
You may also find it helpful to speak to your GP, to a debt advice charity about money worries, or to a friend or relative you trust. Registering with GamStop is the most effective single step if you want to stop playing with every licensed online operator at once, rather than with us alone.
Protecting children and other adults in your household
Underage gambling is illegal and we take it seriously. We verify the age and identity of every customer, and we may ask for documents at registration, before a withdrawal or at any point where we need to confirm the details on an account. If we find that a person under 18 has gambled with us, we void the play, return deposits in line with our terms and close the account.
- Keep your username, password and payment details private, and never let anyone else use your account.
- Sign out fully when you finish playing, and do not save login details on devices that children can reach.
- Do not store card details in a browser on a shared computer, tablet or phone.
- Set up separate user profiles on shared devices so that your account is not reachable from a child's profile.
- Consider parental control or content-filtering software, which can block gambling sites and apps on home devices and networks; most operating systems and broadband providers also include family settings.
- Talk to children and young people about gambling and the risks involved, in the same way you would about other age-restricted activities.
If you believe someone under 18 has access to your account, change your password and contact us immediately through live chat or by e-mailing support@casinoluckyadmiral.co.uk so we can secure the account.
We will act on concerns
Where our checks or your account activity suggest that play may be causing harm, we may contact you, apply limits or suspend the account while we look into it. These steps are part of how we meet the safer gambling obligations attached to our gaming licence.
